Hair

Sat Dec 12, 2009, 9:11 AM
Apparently, the place where I get my hair cut is closing down in February.
After my shift today I went to check out a new place someone recommended. They were pretty booked up so I couldn't get the full cut & dye that I wanted. I ended up just asking them to trim my bangs. So he did and everything went fine. I get into the car and smell something really good. So I'm like, 'hey! my hair smells really good!'
But I can't figure out where the smell came from... it's an hour later and I can still smell a bit of it (I mostly smell coffee because that smell is embedded into my work clothes).
Anyway. It smelled so good. I'm definitely going to start going to these people. But where did the lovely smell come from?! :noes: He didn't spray anything on my hair!
I don't even know why I'm writing about this. :iconwalleyedplz:

In other news, my singing teacher is on vacation for a few weeks, and her replacement is a guy who sang in The Nylons for a couple years. If that name doesn't ring a bell ... they've had seven gold and platinum recordings, so you've probably heard something by them. :bucktooth:
It should be good!

Also, my birthday's on Tuesday. My birthday dinner will be somewhere that sells crêpes. I'm determined!
:iconanimefaceplz: Hehe. I actually don't care where we go.
Just as long as I get my crêpes. :iconfatlaplz:

I still need to go Christmas shopping. I'm running out of tiiiiiiime...

To summarize, I wish my hair looked like this:

But it does not. :(

Bucket List

Thu Oct 1, 2009, 3:08 PM

Do you have a list of things you want to do (or places you want to go) before you die? Just curious...

I've made a short list that I've been adding on to for a year or so. They're pretty unattainable, but oh well. It's fun to think about.

:bulletwhite: See a Saskatchewan thunderstorm.
I hear they're amazing and pretty terrifying, haha. Just because you can pretty much see EVERYTHING. Kind of like being in a stormy bubble, maybe? My cousin's cousin was talking about how he was taking a train across the prairies and when he was in Saskatchewan he was in the middle of a giant thunder and lightning storm. He said it was pretty scary lol.

:bulletwhite: Ride a motorcycle... in France!
Well, this one would require me to get a license. Anyways, when I was in France we were wandering around the streets after supper. It was late so pretty much the only thing we could do was walk because everything had closed. It was such a nice, calm night. The weather was great and I was just watching people ride around and I got envious. It looked like such a awesomely fun way to spend the night. =]

:bulletwhite: See an African sunset.
Er... I don't think this one needs much explanation. Who wouldn't want to experience this?

:bulletwhite: Win the lottery. Move to Monaco.
Shut up! It could happen! :shakefist: I'm pretty sure Monaco is paradise on earth and if you don't have a desire to go there you're a crazy person. CRAZY.

:bulletwhite: Visit the Norwegian Arctic.
Speaking of crazy... =D Seriously, though, I just think it would be awesome. I'm sure just a day trip would be enough for me. XD And the northern lights there would be spectacular amirite? And maybe on the trip back I could check out the beautiful Norwegian scenery.

:bulletwhite: Kayak / Canoe in China.
Not much to add to this one. Photos like [link] and [link] just make me want to do it.

:bulletwhite: And finally... non-travel related: Learn Russian!
Let's face it. Russian sounds cool. Dunno how likely I am to actually follow through on this one. :bucktooth:

I think that's all of them. I was slowly remembering them as I went through the list. Until now I've just been making mental notes.
Hopefully I can score a really well paying job. :XD:

So to all you people who've stumbled upon my page: What's on your bucket list?

  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Lights
  • Reading: Nothing
  • Watching: Conan O'Brien..or Jimmy Fallon..once I'm done this
  • Playing: Nothing
  • Eating: Nothing
  • Drinking: Finished my chai tea. Finished my hot chocolate.=(

First photoshoot!!!

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 26, 2009, 10:01 PM

I had my very first photoshoot today (well, yesterday... it's early morning now).

Fun times.

But it was so different than what I usually do. I've never had to direct a tree to move a little bit out of the shade, or ask a sunset to look like it's enjoying itself more, haha. :meow:

It was good practise, though. I ended up really liking it, so I'll probably get around to doing it again... hopefully with more ideas next time!

Anyways, I ended up taking 317 pictures in about 2-2.5 hours. I really like about *takes out calculator* 8% of them.

I may put them on here. I haven't asked for permission yet, though.:XD: But hopefully I'll be able to upload them because I'd like some feedback. I want to improve!

Ok, enough about me. So what's new with you? :bucktooth:

No features this time. I'm feeling laaaaazy. Maybe in the next journal...

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 30, 2009, 12:54 PM
Needed to get my Eurotrip journal off the main page. :(

Went camping over the weekend and took a bunch of pictures. Edited a few and uploaded them. Took me ages but I'm done!

Mass Upload #2 will be in about a week when I come home from northern British Columbia!

Revamping My Gallery:dance::boogie::clap: :la::eager::w00t::woohoo::excited:

I'm going through my entire gallery deleting, scrapping, editing, and re-editing things. I'm tired of browsing through it thinking how much better some pictures would look if I had spent more time on them. I'm going to focus mainly on my USA, Cuba, and Dominican Republic galleries. SO if you feel like seeing what I've retouched check there first! This may take a few days weeks. ^^;
Wheeee :)
